Q: What is the overarching goal of ASGP?

Q: What kinds of activities are funded through ASGP?
A: ASGP supports institutional capacity development of women-focused CSOs and advocacy initiatives through the distribution of small and large grants.  A wide variety of activities are designed to enhance women’s and girls’ educational, economic, political and social development. Q: Are ASGP grants only for women’s groups?
A: Any Afghan CSO working for gender equity and conducting activities focused on women and girls can apply for a grant.  The focus of the ASGP-funded project must be on women’s or girls’ activities and empowerment. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Q: In which provinces does ASGP fund activities?
A: ASGP supports activities in all 34 provinces of Afghanistan through eight regional teams based in six offices in Kabul, Balkh, Herat, and Kandahar, Kunduz and Nangarhar.  Additional regional teams cover Central Highlands and the South East.  aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa  Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa   aaaaaaa
Q: We are not a legally-registered CSO and we do not know how to write a proposal. Can we still apply for an ASGP grant?
A: Yes.  If your group and planned activities are eligible for an ASGP grant, ASGP will help you register your organization with the Afghan Government.  ASGP staff also will assist you in writing your proposal. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Q: What types of grants does ASGP provide?
A: ASGP provides four types of grants:  small, Quick Impact Grants (QIG), larger Service Delivery Grants (SDG) and Advocacy Coordination Grants (ACG), and a limited number of Targeted Sustainability Grants (TSG).
